Archifishal Software was formed in about 1994 by Alex Macfarlane Smith. The first project was NetWorks, an Econet-based networking chat and file transfer system, enabling users to talk to anyone else on the network and also send files. The project did essentially work, but there seemed to be issues which meant it couldn't cope reliably with more than about 4 users, for reasons which were never determined, and it has long since been shelved.
Since then, a number of different projects have been worked on, most of which have made it to release. These are documented on the software page.
